The history of Pho Papa derives from a long journey from Vietnam to America. In the 1950s, our grandfather opened up the first “gánh phở” which was shouldered on a carrying pole in our village. He desired to bring Pho from the original Northern Vietnam to the Central of the country where he was born. 5 decades later of Pho cooking experience, grandpa’s next generation continued to spread this flavorful soup overseas when they immigrated to America. Many years of hardship came before they were able to open their Pho restaurants throughout some states. And now, with a mixed traditional and developed recipe, we as the youngest generation are proud to serve our signature Pho at Pho Papa, a cozy restaurant named in memory of our great grandparents.
